CAT BOAT 2004

Many years ago a unique style of practical work boat was developed on Cape Cod, MA. I don’t know why, but they called it “The Cat Boat.” For anyone who knows their traditional sail craft, they will know the Cape Cod Cat Boat. My little sail boat sits on a seperate cradle and the mast just slips through a hole in the fore deck. Item # 910 - L - 8”, H - 10.5”, Wt. - 2 lbs. CAST BRONZE

PULLING BOAT 1999

Another traditional water craft is the “pull-ing boat” or if you must, a row boat, sometimes called a Whitehall Boat. Note the classic wine glass transom. Item # 911 - L - 7.75”, Wt. - 1 lb. CAST BRONZE

GRAND BANKS DORY 2004

Did you ever see Captains Courageous with Spencer Tracy and Freddie Bartholemew? Before your time? Well, mine too, but the kind of small fishing boats they used on the Grand Banks were the traditional dories. The boats were stacked within each other on the decks of large topsail schooners built for the trade. Item # 912 - L - 4”, Wt. - 5 oz. CAST BRONZE
